scantilly ‘unzipped’ set was purchased with my own money from brastop*

the. set. of. dreams. i am utterly obsessed with this whole set – the bra, thong and suspender belt! it’s no secret that scantilly* is one of my favourite fuller bust brands, with their sultry black meshes meeting rose gold hardware details. i lusted after unzipped* for so long and it’s amazing to finally have my hands on it!
the look
sheer, sexy, sultry and a little bit naughty. the unzipped range* from scantilly blends black mesh with rose gold faux zip detailing to create a truly tantalising look. the plunge bra* is simple in sheer mesh with a 3-part cup and overbust elastic strapping, featuring the rose gold zip tooth embroidery and completed by a rose gold zipper charm at the centre gore.
completing the set is a gorgeous thong*, cut with a cheeky ‘v’ shape at the front to emulate an opening zip, again trimmed with the rose gold zipper charm and o-rings. there’s also a high waist brief* option which flaunts fold-over strips of mesh and a waistband strap detail. bringing it together is the strappy suspender belt* – once again finished with the same zipper charms to match everything else.
the fit
if you like curvy kate’s lifestyle plunge bra, then you’ll love unzipped*. it has the same cut and fit to the cups, and my standard scantilly size of 30FF fits great. it does feel to be on the snug side on the band so bear this in mind and consider going for the larger size if you’re between sizes – it feels like a perfect 28 when i have it fastened on the tightest set of hooks. the 30FF and above have 3×3 hook and eyes, with sizes 30-36 DD-F having a 2×3 hook and eye fastening.
the unzipped thong* has a generous cut to it – i’m wearing a small and wish there were an extra small as it does feel a little loose around the hips. i love the versatility of the cut, the narrow sides and ‘v’ shape waistline mean you can wear it ultra-high on your hips for a high leg shape, or straighter for a classic fit.
the suspender belt* is a great fit and fastens with a hook and eye at the back. i’m wearing a size small for this, and it feels comfortable and secure when fastened on the loosest hook. the four suspender straps are all adjustable, and i have them almost fully extended to have the belt sat at my waist rather than on my hips. the straps are all slightly elasticated to give a flexible and comfortable fit.
the verdict
a truly stunning set, this is definitely going to be a timeless scantilly piece. the bra is sexy but versatile enough to wear day to day with a v-neck top for a cheeky flash of overbust strapping, and also offers total comfort and support. i do love a set that is as practical as it is nice to look at! i’m pleased there’s a thong option* and not just a high waist*, as i have said before i’m very much NOT a high waist brief kinda gal and prefer my knickers to be a thong or brazilian cut. the entire unzipped range makes me feel powerful and sexy, and is definitely a top fave of mine from 2019.
