the cleo by panache ‘atlanta’ set was purchased with my own money from brastop

say hello to one of my favourite bras of 2019 – the atlanta plunge bra in petrol from cleo by panache. the moment i saw this in the panache brochure i knew i needed to get my hands on it as soon as it landed!

the look

atlanta is styled in a beautiful petrol blue shade, with a stunning back lace detail that fastens easily behind the neck with a magnetic clip (sadly, this makes the bra unsuitable for anyone who wears a pacemaker). the cups are made from a soft geometric mesh lace, which is stretchy and contours to your breast shape easily while giving a nice amount of lift.

this style is fun, contemporary and fashion-forward in a beautiful colour, and looks amazing under a low or open back outfit. a coordinating brief completes the set, cut in a classic low rise fit with a higher leg and brazilian shape back, finished with a keyhole detail and lace panels to match the bra.

the fit

disclaimer: i am wearing a 28gg in these photos because i completely mis-read the tag so the fit looks a little off… i have since exchanged it for a 28g and the fit is perfect!

i find the fit of cleo bras to be fairly consistent across the various styles with very few discrepancies, and the atlanta plunge is no exception. the band sits firm and straight across my back and feels comfortable when fastened on the loosest set of hooks. the cups have a good amount of depth and the wires sit flush at my breast root with no slipping down during the day. despite the cup fabric being so soft and stretchy, atlanta gives a nice supportive and uplifted fit with a subtle plunge – perfect for under a lower neckline but without boosting your cleavage too much! because of the lace detail the straps are only partially adjustable at the neck, so if you have a shorter torso then do bear this in mind. i have mine fully tightened and it sits just about right.

the brief fits as expected in a size 8 – slightly on the snug side and i probably could have sized up to a 10 (i seem to sit right between the two sizes) but i find briefs tend to stretch out with wear and washing so by sizing down i’ll get the most wear out of them! they fit comfortably and don’t have too much visibility under clothes thanks to the brazilian rear cut.

the verdict

i am thoroughly obsessed with this set! it truly is one of those sets that is as practical and supportive as it is pretty and attractive. it is comfortable enough for all-day wear, and has found itself wriggling into my regular rotation of bras even when the beautiful lace detail isn’t being shown off. with great fit and style, you’ll be ready to take on anything your day may hold in this set. the atlanta plunge bra is available in 28-38 bands and D-H cups, with the matching brief in 8-18, but it looks like lots are sold out already so be quick to get it while you can!

full bust brands are seriously upping their game and i really hope panache bring this style out in many more colours! what do you think of atlanta, are there any colours you’d love to have this in?
