the ’emelie’ navy set was purchased with my own money directly from attollo lingerie | photos shot by ylenia margareci
the world of fuller bust lingerie is ever expanding and growing, but it can be hard finding brands that focus on those with smaller band sizes and larger cups. enter attollo lingerie – a british brand focused on smaller band sizes (28-36) and larger cup sizes (D-HH).

the look
attollo’s emelie navy set is positively gorgeous. a soft navy floral lace meets a sumptuous satin floral band, with a longline shape and slim shoulder straps which can be worn crossed over at the throat or back. the cups give a classic silhouette with a slight sweetheart neckline and medium coverage. i opted to match this longline bra with the aurora thong, which features the same bespoke lace and floral satin at the waistband in an almost brazilian-esque cut. attollo lingerie is elegant, feminine, romantic and contemporary, available in both this gorgeous navy or classic black, and with mix-and-match styles including the emelie longline, lily balconette, and various knicker styles.

the fit
attollo lingerie is crafted in europe with bespoke components – from the lace, to the underwires, to the straps. all aspects of this brand have been designed and developed by founders fleur and alice (who are two of the sweetest humans on this planet), specifically for fuller bust comfort, fit and support. attollo suggest taking a cup size up from your ‘regular’ bra size – so where i normally opt for a 28G, i took a 28GG in the emelie longline. the fit is spot on: the cups in this size are constructed in three parts with two vertical seams and a mesh lining, which provides a lovely rounded and upfront shape to my breast tissue.
the underwires are a little wide for my narrower breast root, but they are somehow softly flexible and they do not feel like they sit as wide as they do. the wire height is taller than most bras i have in this size range so this is perhaps something to consider if you have a very petite/short torso, but again as the wires are soft it doesn’t seem to cause much discomfort at all. the longline band doesn’t flip or roll, even when spending the day sat at my desk at work, and the ultra-thin straps don’t dig in thanks to the perfectly supportive band. speaking of the straps, i love that they can be crossed over. they attached with two dainty gold swan hooks at the back, and when crossed over they act just like a j-hook by giving extra support and spreading the weight evenly across your back, plus giving a bit of a boosted cleavage!
the aurora thong fits perfectly in my usual size small (uk 8-10), my only complaint is the central seam and lace at the front of the gusset. i’m not typically a fan of briefs which have this feature as i find it just rubs in all the wrong places and can cause a little discomfort, but surprisingly (and thankfully!) once i’ve had this set on for a couple of hours i barely notice it. i would love to see a style brought out without the centre seam though, perhaps with the lovely satin fabric extending down to the gusset with the lace trim kept to the leg edge.
the verdict
emelie is one of my most-worn styles in my lingerie collection, giving a comfortable fit for all-day wear and a gorgeous shape. both the bra and brief feel extremely well made, with soft fabrics that don’t scratch against the skin like many laces can do. the stitches were all finished off neatly and securely, even on the sample brief i purchased from one of their sample sales earlier this year! it is so nice to have a bra that offers the perfect level of support in the band so that the straps are doing the bare minimum, despite being so thin. i was convinced that they’d end up digging in to my shoulders and feeling like cheesewire, but i don’t feel them at all. it’s like some kind of witchcraft! if you’re looking for an elegant, comfortable and stylish option for a full cup size and smaller band size, attollo lingerie are a great option with a reasonable price point. the emelie bra is £45 with matching briefs priced between £15-18. this means the set comes in at £50-52 which feels average for a fuller bust lingerie two-piece set.

i would definitely recommend attollo lingerie to anyone with a smaller band and larger cup, and if you’re not sure about what size to try then check out their up-coming fitting days or get in touch for one of their facetime fittings!
what do you think of attollo lingerie and the emelie bra?

Love the nature part of your photo shoot. Lucky photographer – so much to admire.
thank you!
I like the arch as a point of interest. However, the photos of you walking away from the photographer need NOTHING else. Really outstanding.
